ABOUT THE HIRING COMPANY
Our client is a fast-growing and reputable food business dedicated to providing convenient access to high-quality, wholesome food products. The company specializes in the production of a range of freshly prepared and frozen foods, including spring rolls, samosas, green chili sauce, plantain chips, and roasted groundnuts.
Beyond its proprietary product lines, the company operates a curated food sourcing service, supplying fresh fruits and vegetables, quality protein options, and essential household groceries to a growing and loyal customer base. With a strong emphasis on freshness, food safety, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction, the business continues to scale its footprint and strengthen its market presence within the food and grocery market.
PURPOSE OF JOB
This reputable company is relaunching with a renewed passion for quality, freshness, and convenience. We’re looking for a reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented person to help manage day-to-day operations — ensuring smooth coordination from supplier to shelf, from production to customer delivery.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking initiative, managing multiple tasks efficiently, and engaging positively with customers both online and in person. The person will also support event and sales activities such as food fairs and exhibitions where our products are showcased.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Operations & Inventory Management
- Coordinate with suppliers and production partners to ensure timely supply of products (food stuffs, proteins, frozen products etc.)
- Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages and ensure product availability.
- Anticipate production or restock needs and initiate timely orders.
- Oversee product quality and packaging to meet brand standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory and sales records.
- Prepare production and staff schedules as needed.
- Ensure production area and physical shop is always neat and well set up.
2. Customer Service & Sales
- Manage the physical shop, attend to walk-in customers, and process orders.
- Receive incoming calls, take orders and mange process through to product delivery.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism and care.
- Manage order fulfillment from receipt to delivery, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain client databases and ensure proper sales and expenses documentation.
- Align with CEO on price (including reviews) of products.
3. Social Media & Marketing Support
- Manage and respond to client enquiries and comments on company’s social media pages (Instagram and TikTok.).
- Work with CEO to plan and schedule content for social media pages.
- Suggest content ideas to create engaging posts to highlight products and offers.
- Support in growing brand visibility and online community engagement.
- Coordinate with media and content team to plan content shoots as needed.
4. Event & Exhibition Coordination
- Coordinate logistics for fairs, exhibitions, pop-up sales and events.
- Ensure that all products are prepared, packaged, and delivered on time for events.
- Supervise setup and display arrangements to represent the brand professionally.
- Attend and support sales at events, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Manage any follow-up tasks after events, such as restocking, reporting, or customer engagement.
5. Reporting & Coordination
- Provide periodic reports on production, stock, sales, and customer insights.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Frequently communicate customer feedback and/ concerns to aid in improving service/ products.
- Work closely with the CEO and various teams to plan production schedules, marketing campaigns, product launches, promotional events, fairs etc.
PROFESSIONAL AND EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of HND or Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, Food Science, or related field.
- Proven ability to manage operations and logistics with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills.
- Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Social media management experience (content creation and engagement).
- Computer literacy (Excel, Word, Google Sheets, PowerPoint social media tools).
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity, initiative, and accountability.
