Accountant (Full-Time)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team in Accra. In this role, you will actively manage financial operations, ensure compliance, and support sound financial decision-making within the organization.


Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Manage end-to-end accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reports.
  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Manage insurance claims, including reconciliations and follow-ups.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and actively monitor cash flow.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and timely statutory filings.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and proper documentation.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal control systems.
  • Liaise with auditors, regulatory authorities, and other key stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements

You should have:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least five (5) years of experience managing accounting functions.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven experience in payroll administration.
  • Experience handling insurance claims and reconciliations.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting (added advantage).
  • Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, ICA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
