Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Auto Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will support vehicle assembly, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs while ensuring all work meets high-quality and safety standards. You will play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency and delivering reliable automotive solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the final assembly of knocked-down (CKD/SKD) vehicle units.
  • Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) to ensure all mechanical, electrical, and safety systems function properly.
  • Check and adjust fluid levels, tire pressures, battery connections, and torque settings on critical components.
  • Use diagnostic tools and manual equipment to identify mechanical and electronic faults in petrol, diesel, and hybrid light-duty vehicles.
  • Troubleshoot engine management systems, transmission issues, braking systems, steering, and suspension.
  • Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, filter replacements, belt inspections, and tune-ups.
  • Repair or replace faulty components such as alternators, starters, radiators, fuel pumps, clutches, and exhaust systems.
  • Overhaul engines and gearboxes in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Ensure all work complies with company quality standards and OEM guidelines.
  • Accurately complete job cards, repair orders, and inspection checklists.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment in line with HSE policies.
  • Report recurring faults or assembly issues to the supervisor to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of Automobile Technician Certificate (Part II or III) from a recognized institution (e.g., NVTI, GTVET, or a technical university).
  • Diploma in Automotive Engineering is an added advantage.
  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience working on light-duty vehicles (SUVs, pickups, and sedans).
  • Experience with international automotive brands, particularly Chinese vehicle brands, is an added advantage.
