Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and professional Basketball Official (Referee) to join our team full-time. The successful candidate will ensure fair play, uphold the rules of the game, and contribute to a respectful, welcoming, and well-managed environment for players, coaches, and fellow officials.

Key Responsibilities

• Officiate basketball games in accordance with established rules and regulations
• Maintain control of games while ensuring fairness and consistency in decision-making
• Foster a respectful and welcoming environment for players, coaches, and spectators
• Communicate clearly and professionally with players, coaches, and other officials
• Enforce game rules, manage fouls, and ensure player safety at all times
• Collaborate with other officials and academy staff to uphold high officiating standards
• Participate in training sessions and continuous professional development
• Represent the academy with integrity during games, tournaments, and events

Educational Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field
• Certification in basketball officiating is required (recognized local or international body preferred)
• Proven experience officiating basketball games
• Strong knowledge of basketball rules and regulations
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
