Role Overview

AngloGold Ashanti Limited is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Rubber Liner to support maintenance activities within its processing plant. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of conveyor systems and related infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily inspections on conveyor lines to identify faults and maintenance needs.
  • Perform routine maintenance on conveyor systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and repair conveyor breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Carry out sandblasting and rubber lining of pipes and related equipment.

Qualifications and Experience

Education & Certification

  • NVTI Apprenticeship Programme Grade 1 & 2 Certificate in Rubber Lining or a related field.

Experience & Technical Knowledge

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in a processing plant within the mining industry or a similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of rubber adhesives and cement types.
  • Understanding of mixing ratios and curing times.
  • Knowledge of temperature and humidity effects on bonding processes.
  • Ability to identify and prevent bonding failures such as peeling, bubbles, and weak joints.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to respond to equipment breakdowns efficiently.
  • High regard for safety standards and procedures.
