We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Research & Field Coordinator to lead qualitative field activities, coordinate participant recruitment, and ensure smooth end-to-end project execution across assigned regions.
Job Summary
The Research & Field Coordinator will moderate Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), conduct In-Depth Interviews (IDIs), and coordinate all aspects of fieldwork operations, including recruitment, scheduling, logistics, consent management, incentives, and quality control. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering accurate, culturally sensitive, and high-quality research outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Moderate Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and conduct In-Depth Interviews (IDIs) professionally and effectively.
- Coordinate end-to-end fieldwork activities, including participant recruitment, scheduling, venue management, logistics, and incentive distribution.
- Ensure informed consent processes and maintain confidentiality of participant information.
- Monitor and maintain high standards of data quality and fieldwork compliance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities and participant networks.
- Prepare field reports, attendance records, and project documentation accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with internal research teams to support successful project delivery.
- Manage communication with participants using digital communication platforms where necessary.
- Travel within assigned regions to support field activities and project execution.
Experience and Education
- Recognized qualification in Social Sciences, Research, Communications, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in qualitative research, including hands-on FGD moderation and participant recruitment.
- Experience moderating 30+ FGDs will be an added advantage.
- Fluency in English and at least one Ghanaian language.
- Strong local networks with proven experience recruiting diverse participant populations.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and travel within assigned regions when required.
- Professional demeanor, cultural sensitivity, and excellent time management skills.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in WhatsApp, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
- Familiarity with digital recording tools and qualitative research platforms such as SurveyCTO, ODK, and KoBoToolbox.

- Competitive daily moderation rates.
- Per diems and transportation support provided per project assignment.
