Role Summary

The Commercial Manager will lead all commercial activities, including pricing strategy, proposal development, contract negotiation, and revenue protection. The successful candidate will drive sustainable business growth, strengthen client relationships, and ensure commercial governance across oilfield service operations.


Key Responsibilities

Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and execute commercial strategies that drive sustainable revenue growth
  • Own pricing models, commercial frameworks, and bid strategies
  • Identify new business opportunities within the oilfield services sector
  • Strengthen client relationships to support long-term business expansion

Pricing, Proposals & Contracts

  • Lead the preparation and submission of commercial proposals and tenders
  • Develop competitive pricing strategies aligned with market conditions and profitability targets
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure favorable commercial terms
  • Oversee contract lifecycle management from initiation to execution

Revenue Protection & Financial Discipline

  • Implement and enforce revenue protection mechanisms across all contracts
  • Monitor project profitability and commercial performance
  • Identify and mitigate revenue leakage risks
  • Work closely with finance and operations teams to ensure accurate billing and cost alignment

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with operations, finance, and technical teams
  • Engage senior stakeholders and clients with professionalism and commercial insight
  • Provide commercial guidance to support operational decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with internal commercial policies and governance standards

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in commercial leadership roles within oilfield services or related energy sectors
  • Strong background in pricing, contract negotiation, and proposal development
  • Proven experience managing revenue protection and commercial risk
  • Demonstrated ability to lead senior-level client engagements and commercial negotiations
  • Strong understanding of oil and gas service operations and commercial structures
