Position Summary

The Data Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise data architecture solutions that support efficient data management, analytics, and business intelligence. The successful candidate will collaborate with technical and business teams to develop scalable, secure, and high-performing data ecosystems across cloud and on-premise environments.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models and architecture solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather data requirements and translate them into effective architectural solutions.
• Develop data integration strategies, including ETL and ELT pipelines, to connect and optimize diverse data sources.
• Ensure compliance with data quality, governance, security, and regulatory standards across all data platforms.
• Lead initiatives to modernize and optimize data infrastructure using cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure.
• Design and optimize enterprise data warehouses, data lakes, and distributed data storage systems.
• Establish data architecture best practices, standards, and documentation.
• Support the implementation of scalable analytics and reporting solutions.
• Monitor and improve database performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in data architecture and cloud computing.

Qualification Required & Experience

Applicants must possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role with demonstrated experience designing and implementing enterprise data platforms.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, or related frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in Python for building data pipelines and automating ETL processes.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, NoSQL databases, and data warehousing solutions.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong understanding of data modelling techniques, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration tools.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, security standards, and compliance best practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
