Job Description

Core Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee procurement for all company operations
- Review purchase requests, source quotations & assess compliance
- Negotiate pricing and terms; issue POs and follow up on deliveries
- Manage supplier relationships and monitor performance
- Support urgent procurement for Workshop, Maintenance & project sites
- Coordinate with Stores on stock levels and re-order points
- Maintain complete procurement records and ensure audit readiness
- Prepare weekly procurement reports to management
- Supervise and guide the procurement team; enforce discipline & process standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business Administration.
- 5-8 years’ procurement experience, including 2-3 years in a supervisory/managerial role
- Strong experience in road construction, heavy equipment, and industrial procurement
- Skilled in purchasing materials, equipment parts, fuel/lubricants, consumables & subcontractor services
- Strong negotiation and contract management ability
- Proficient in Excel, ERP and procurement systems
Key Skills:
- Strong sourcing, tendering & supplier evaluation
- Ability to interpret material specs and technical requirements
- Procurement planning aligned to project timelines
- Contract drafting, negotiation & cost control
- Inventory coordination with Stores/Warehouse
- Excellent leadership, communication & stakeholder engagement
- High integrity, analytical thinking & proactive problem-solving
Personal Attributes:
- Strong negotiation & supplier management
- Ability to analyse quotations & ensure technical compliance
- Knowledge of logistics, deliveries & warehouse coordination
- Cost control awareness & accurate PO/documentation handling
- Excellent communication, detail-oriented & able to meet tight deadlines
