We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineer, Cloud Delivery to join our Technology team and play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting cloud-based infrastructure and services that drive business success.

Job Summary

The Engineer, Cloud Delivery will support the deployment, management, optimization, and operational delivery of cloud infrastructure and services. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure secure, scalable, resilient, and efficient cloud environments that support MTN Ghana’s digital transformation agenda.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and support cloud infrastructure solutions across public and hybrid cloud environments.
• Manage cloud-based services to ensure optimal performance, availability, and reliability.
• Implement infrastructure automation and orchestration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Support cloud migration initiatives and modernization projects.
• Monitor cloud environments and proactively identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud solutions that align with business and operational requirements.
• Implement and maintain security controls, compliance standards, and governance frameworks across cloud platforms.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure incidents and service-related issues.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and architecture standards.
• Ensure adherence to service management processes and operational best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the cloud delivery function.

Qualification and Experience

Education

• Minimum of a University Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications in areas such as:
  • ITIL
  • COBIT 5
  • PRINCE2 or PMP
  • Cloud Certifications (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
  • Information Security Fundamentals

Experience

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in cloud infrastructure, systems engineering, DevOps, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience in infrastructure operations, administration, and technical support.
• Experience working within telecommunications, highly regulated industries, or multi-stakeholder delivery environments will be an advantage.

• VMware, KVM, and Hyper-V.
• Server, storage, and network infrastructure management.

Containers and Orchestration

• Docker.
• Kubernetes.
• OpenShift.

Infrastructure Automation

• Terraform.
• ARM Templates.
• AWS CloudFormation.

Configuration Management

• Ansible.
• Puppet.
• Chef.

DevOps and CI/CD

• Jenkins.
• GitLab CI/CD.
• Azure DevOps.

Networking and Security

• TCP/IP networking.
• DNS.
• VPN technologies.
• Firewalls.
• Load Balancers.
• Identity and Access Management (IAM).
• Security best practices and compliance standards.

Monitoring and Observability

• Prometheus.
