Position Summary

Stanbic Bank Ghana is seeking an experienced and results-driven Regional Manager to provide strategic leadership and oversight for a portfolio of branches within an assigned region. The successful candidate will drive business growth, enhance customer experience, strengthen operational performance, and ensure the achievement of financial and strategic objectives.

This role requires a dynamic leader with strong commercial acumen, extensive branch management experience, and a proven track record of delivering sustainable business performance within the banking sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage branch operations across the assigned region to achieve business growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
  • Develop and execute regional business strategies aligned with the bank’s overall objectives.
  • Drive revenue growth through effective sales leadership, customer acquisition, and portfolio expansion initiatives.
  • Monitor and manage regional financial performance, including income statement accountability, cost management, and profitability targets.
  • Ensure branches consistently deliver exceptional customer service and client experiences.
  • Identify market opportunities and implement strategies to increase market share and business penetration.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions to achieve business targets.
  • Strengthen risk management and ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and governance standards.
  • Lead, coach, and develop branch managers and teams to build a high-performance culture.
  • Foster employee engagement, talent development, and succession planning within the region.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, regulators, and business partners.
  • Promote collaboration across business units to enhance operational efficiency and customer outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, service delivery, and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • First Degree in Business Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Banking, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant professional qualifications in banking, finance, leadership, or management will be an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of eight (8) to ten (10) years of progressive banking experience.
  • Proven experience in branch management, including full income statement management and accountability.
  • Demonstrated success in sales leadership, customer relationship management, and business development.
  • Strong experience managing branch operations, service delivery, risk management, and financial performance.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams within a multi-branch environment..
