Position Summary
The Associate Professor of Chemical Pathology will provide academic leadership in teaching, research, curriculum development, and scholarly engagement within the discipline. The successful candidate will contribute to the advancement of laboratory medicine education, enhance research productivity, mentor students and faculty members, and support the University’s strategic academic objectives.
This position requires an accomplished academic or clinician-scientist with a strong publication record, proven teaching experience, and a commitment to excellence in higher education, research, and professional service.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- A minimum of a PhD in Chemical Pathology or a closely related discipline.
OR
- For clinicians, a minimum Membership Certificate from a recognized professional body in a relevant medical specialty.
Research Requirements
- Must have a minimum of twenty-four (24) publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Demonstrated record of sustained scholarly contributions and academic excellence.
- Proven experience supervising postgraduate research and mentoring academic staff and students.
