Role Summary

Central University invites applications from qualified and motivated individuals to join the Faculty of Health Sciences as Lecturer in Medical Laboratory Science. The successful candidate will contribute actively to teaching, research, student supervision, and academic service in a dynamic and supportive academic environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Lecturer will:

• Deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions in Medical Laboratory Science
• Develop, review, and update course materials in line with approved curricula
• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects
• Conduct and publish research in peer-reviewed journals
• Participate in departmental meetings and faculty academic activities
• Support curriculum development and continuous quality improvement
• Contribute to laboratory instruction and practical training
• Mentor students and support their academic and professional development

Qualification Required & Experience

Applicants must meet one of the following minimum requirements:

• Hold a PhD in Medical Laboratory Science or a related discipline, OR
• Be a clinician with a Membership certificate from a recognised professional body

Additional requirements:

• Demonstrated ability or potential to teach at tertiary level
• Evidence of research engagement or scholarly activity will be an advantage
