Position: Lecturer – Pathology / Laboratory Medicine
Location: Tema, Ghana (Miotso Campus)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Role Summary

Central University invites applications from qualified and motivated individuals to join the Faculty of Health Sciences as Lecturer in Pathology / Laboratory Medicine. The successful candidate will contribute actively to teaching, research, student supervision, and academic service in a dynamic and collaborative environment that supports continuous professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

The Lecturer will:

  • Deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine
  • Develop and update teaching materials in line with academic standards
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students in research and academic work
  • Participate in departmental and faculty academic activities
  • Conduct research and publish in peer-reviewed journals
  • Support curriculum development and continuous academic improvement
  • Contribute to laboratory and clinical training where applicable
  • Participate in quality assurance and institutional service activities

Qualification Required & Experience

Applicants must meet one of the following minimum requirements:

  • Hold a PhD in Pathology, Laboratory Medicine, or a related discipline, OR
  • Be a clinician with a Membership certificate from a recognised professional body

Additional requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability or potential to teach at tertiary level
  • Evidence of research interest or scholarly activity will be an advantage
