Position Summary
The Program Officer will support the planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of program activities under the Business Seed Partnership. The successful candidate will work closely with the Program Manager and project partners to ensure effective project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and achievement of program objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Program Implementation & Coordination
- Support the execution of program activities and initiatives under the Business Seed Partnership.
- Assist in coordinating project activities and ensuring timely implementation of approved work plans.
- Facilitate engagement with project partners and stakeholders based on assignments approved by the Program Manager.
- Support the coordination of work packages among project partners to ensure successful delivery of project outcomes and targets.
- Monitor project timelines and contribute to the effective management of program deliverables.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
- Conduct program monitoring visits to project sites and activities as required.
- Prepare detailed monitoring reports, observations, and recommendations following field visits.
- Support data collection, documentation, and analysis to assess project performance and impact.
- Assist in the preparation of periodic program reports, activity reports, and donor-related documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, outputs, and stakeholder engagements.
Events & Stakeholder Engagement
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of Business Seed Partnership events, workshops, meetings, and stakeholder engagements.
- Participate actively in project-related activities and represent the program when required.
- Assist in organizing meetings, preparing agendas, coordinating logistics, and recording meeting minutes.
- Follow up on action points and support communication between project partners and stakeholders.
Communications & Visibility
- Support the promotion of Business Seed Partnership activities and events through digital channels and social media platforms.
- Assist in developing content for newsletters, website updates, event communications, and social media campaigns.
- Contribute to initiatives that enhance program visibility, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure communication materials align with program objectives and organizational standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Development Studies, Business Administration, International Relations, Social Sciences, Economics, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in project implementation, program coordination, monitoring and evaluation, or development project management.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating project activities and supporting multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and project management skills.
- Experience or knowledge of social media marketing and digital communications will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
