We are seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented Senior IT Officer to strengthen our ICT infrastructure and support the Council’s digital transformation agenda.
Position Summary
The Senior IT Officer will manage, maintain, and secure NaCCA’s ICT infrastructure, networks, and digital systems. The successful candidate will ensure reliable IT operations, provide technical support to staff, enhance cybersecurity measures, and contribute to the implementation of digital transformation initiatives that improve institutional efficiency and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
ICT Infrastructure Management
- Manage and maintain the Council’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, hardware, and software systems.
- Oversee system upgrades, installations, and configuration of ICT resources.
- Monitor ICT system performance and ensure optimal functionality at all times.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide timely technical support to staff across all departments.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Ensure minimal downtime by implementing effective troubleshooting solutions.
Cybersecurity & Data Management
- Implement and maintain strong cybersecurity protocols to protect institutional data.
- Ensure regular data backups and disaster recovery systems are in place.
- Monitor systems for security threats and ensure compliance with ICT policies and standards.
Systems Development & Digital Transformation
- Support the implementation of digital transformation initiatives within the Council.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of NaCCA’s website and digital platforms.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance ICT-driven service delivery.
ICT Governance & Reporting
- Maintain documentation of ICT systems, processes, and procedures.
- Prepare periodic reports on ICT performance, challenges, and improvements.
- Ensure compliance with national ICT policies and international standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Relevant professional ICT certification will be an added advantage.
- Membership in a recognized ICT professional body is desirable.
- Must successfully pass a competitive selection process conducted by the Governing Board in consultation with the Public Services Commission.
