Locum Nurse (Full-Time)

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and proactive Locum Nurse to join our team and support the health and wellbeing of learners and staff.

Job Summary

The Locum Nurse will provide essential primary healthcare services within the Institute, ensuring timely medical attention, effective health education, and appropriate referral of cases. The successful candidate will support a safe and healthy campus environment by delivering quality nursing care, managing health emergencies, and promoting wellness initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first aid and primary healthcare services to learners and staff.
  • Assess, treat, and refer patients appropriately in line with clinical guidelines.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies and health-related incidents on campus.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date medical records for all patients.
  • Educate learners and staff on health, wellness, hygiene, and preventive healthcare practices.
  • Monitor, manage, and replenish medical supplies, equipment, and clinic resources.
  • Support and participate in health awareness campaigns and wellness programmes across the Institute.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare protocols, safety standards, and professional nursing ethics.
  • Collaborate with management to strengthen campus health and safety systems.

Qualification Required & Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc Nursing).
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid and current professional licence.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a clinical or healthcare setting.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient care skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound clinical judgment.
  • Proficiency in patient care documentation, record keeping, and basic health administration.
  • Experience working with young adults or in an educational institution will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
