We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant HR Officer to support the implementation of human resource policies and contribute to effective staff management within the Council.
Position Summary
The Assistant HR Officer will support the execution of human resource strategies, staff welfare programmes, and personnel administration processes. The successful candidate will assist in recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations while ensuring accurate HR documentation and compliance with public service regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Support recruitment and selection processes, including advertising vacancies and coordinating interviews.
- Assist in onboarding and orientation programmes for new staff.
- Help facilitate staff training and development activities.
HR Administration & Records Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records and HR databases.
- Manage HR documentation, including contracts, leave records, and staff files.
- Support the preparation of HR reports and administrative documentation.
Performance & Employee Relations
- Assist in the implementation of performance management systems.
- Support leave administration and staff welfare programmes.
- Contribute to employee relations initiatives and resolve routine HR queries.
Policy Implementation & Compliance
- Support the implementation of HR policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with public service human resource regulations.
- Assist in monitoring adherence to HR standards and practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
- Minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience in HR or administrative support.
- Must have completed National Service.
- Must successfully pass a competitive selection process conducted by the Governing Board in consultation with the Public Services Commission.
