Role Purpose
The Logistics Officer is responsible for coordinating daily logistics activities to ensure the timely and efficient movement of goods while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will support transportation, inventory management, warehousing, and supply chain operations to ensure smooth business operations and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee daily logistics operations to ensure the efficient movement and delivery of goods.
- Plan, schedule, and monitor transportation activities to optimize delivery timelines and resource utilization.
- Maintain safety and quality standards across all logistics operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate inventory records to support operational efficiency.
- Coordinate warehousing, storage, freight forwarding, and customs clearance activities where required.
- Liaise with drivers, warehouse teams, customers, and external service providers to ensure seamless operations.
- Track shipments and provide timely updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Resolve logistics issues promptly while minimizing operational disruptions.
- Prepare logistics reports and analyse operational data to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes, transportation efficiency, and overall service delivery.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by responding professionally to enquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining positive customer relationships.
Qualifications, Experience & Competencies
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
Experience
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation, moving services, warehousing, freight forwarding, or a related field is preferred.
Professional & Technical Competencies
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational data, prioritize tasks, and solve logistics challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams, drivers, customers, and external partners.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation with a commitment to responsiveness, professionalism, and problem resolution.
- Experience managing inventory, maintaining accurate records, and optimizing storage capacity.
- Good understanding of supply chain management principles, including transportation, routing, warehousing, customs clearance, and freight forwarding.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and logistics management systems, including spreadsheets, scheduling tools, and inventory software.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to work on-site in Accra on a full-time basis, with flexibility to support operational demands during peak periods.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
