We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Physical Education (PE) Teacher to inspire students to develop lifelong fitness habits, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship while contributing to a vibrant and engaging school community.

Role Summary

The Physical Education Teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote physical fitness, motor skill development, health education, and active participation in sports and recreational activities. The successful candidate will create a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment that encourages students to achieve their full physical potential.

Key Responsibilities

As the Physical Education Teacher, you will:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging physical education lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and educational standards.
• Teach a variety of sports, fitness activities, and physical development programmes appropriate to students’ age and ability.
• Promote healthy lifestyles, physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, and good sportsmanship.
• Assess student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
• Organize and coordinate sports events, inter-house competitions, athletic programmes, and extracurricular physical activities.
• Ensure the safe use of sports facilities and equipment while maintaining a secure learning environment.
• Foster an inclusive classroom culture that encourages participation and supports students of varying abilities.
• Maintain effective classroom and behaviour management during all physical education activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support students’ holistic development.
• Participate actively in school events, staff meetings, professional development programmes, and school improvement initiatives.
• Uphold and model the school’s Christian values in all interactions with students and the wider school community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Physical Education, Sports Science, Exercise Science, Health Education, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification or professional teaching licence.

Experience

• Previous teaching experience in a primary or secondary school environment is preferred.
• Experience delivering the American, International, or International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum is an advantage.
• Experience coaching school sports teams or leading extracurricular sporting activities is highly desirable.
