Role Summary

The Bible Teacher will plan and deliver inspiring lessons that deepen students’ understanding of the Bible, Christian faith, and biblical principles. The successful candidate will foster a supportive and engaging classroom environment that encourages spiritual development, critical thinking, and the practical application of Christian values in everyday life.

Key Responsibilities

As the Bible Teacher, you will:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Bible lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and educational standards.
• Teach biblical knowledge, Christian doctrine, ethics, and values in an age-appropriate and meaningful manner.
• Encourage students to develop a deeper understanding of Scripture and its application to daily life.
• Foster a positive, respectful, and Christ-centred classroom environment that supports students’ spiritual and personal development.
• Assess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback on academic and spiritual growth.
• Integrate creative teaching strategies and technology to enhance student engagement.
• Support chapel services, devotional activities, Bible studies, and other faith-based school programmes.
• Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive student behaviour.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support students’ holistic development.
• Participate actively in school events, staff meetings, professional development programmes, and school improvement initiatives.
• Uphold and model the Christian values and mission of the school in all interactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Theology, Religious Studies, Biblical Studies, Christian Education, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification or professional teaching licence.

Experience

• Previous teaching experience in a primary or secondary school environment is preferred.
• Experience teaching within the American, International, or International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum is an advantage.
• Experience in Christian education or faith-based schools is highly desirable.
