Role Overview
The Accounts Officer supports the day-to-day financial operations of the company by maintaining accurate accounting records, processing transactions, and assisting with financial reporting. The role ensures compliance with internal controls, statutory requirements, and company financial policies.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to financial accuracy
Key Responsibilities

Process and record financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and receipts

Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation

Assist in the preparation of monthly and periodic financial reports

Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and customer accounts

Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures

Assist with tax filings, audits, and statutory reporting requirements

Support inventory and expense reconciliation processes

Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting queries promptly
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
Applicants should meet the following criteria:

HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field

Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Good organizational and time-management skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

High level of integrity and professionalism
