Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Officer to support the organization’s financial operations and ensure accurate accounting processes. The successful candidate will maintain financial records, process transactions, prepare statutory payments, and support reconciliation activities while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures.

This role requires a disciplined professional with strong analytical skills, financial accuracy, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic project-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
- Process invoices, payment vouchers, cheques, and bank deposits efficiently and accurately.
- Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations regularly.
- Prepare statutory payments including SSNIT, PAYE, Tier 1 & Tier 2 contributions, and withholding tax.
- Support day-to-day accounting and financial reporting activities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, financial procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with preparation of financial reports and supporting documentation.
- Maintain proper filing systems for accounting records and transactions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support financial operations and controls.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- ACCA or ICAG Level 1 certification will be an added advantage.
