Accounts Clerk (Full-Time)

Location: Kanda – Accra

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Clerk to support our finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. The successful candidate will play a key role in day-to-day accounting operations and contribute to the smooth running of the finance function.


Key Responsibilities

  • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in line with company policies.
  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and reconciliations.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable functions efficiently.
  • Ensure timely processing of statutory deductions, including PAYE, SSNIT, and VAT.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • 1–2 years of proven experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Practical knowledge of statutory deductions (PAYE, SSNIT, VAT) is required.

Core Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Integrity and a high level of confidentiality.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
