Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Architect to join our team in Accra. The successful candidate will design, plan, and oversee housing development projects, with a focus on affordable and socially responsible housing. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulations, quality standards, and project timelines.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design architectural plans and develop detailed construction drawings and models
  • Apply design techniques, tools, and principles to deliver functional and cost-effective housing solutions
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders throughout project lifecycles
  • Ensure all designs comply with local regulations, building codes, and safety standards
  • Support site planning and oversee project implementation to maintain design integrity
  • Manage aspects of contract administration, including tendering processes
  • Contribute to the development of affordable housing concepts and solutions
  • Monitor project progress and address design or compliance challenges proactively

Educational Requirements & Knowledge

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge and understanding of the social and affordable housing sector
  • Understand local government housing development approval processes
  • Apply policies, guidelines, and statutory requirements relevant to real estate development
  • Interpret and implement construction regulations, codes, industry standards, and health & safety legislation
  • Use architectural design tools and techniques effectively in blueprint drawings and modeling
  • Apply principles of site planning and architectural design in housing projects
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of contract administration, including engineering tendering processes

Qualifications & Experience

  • Hold a qualification in Architecture
  • Possess at least 1 year of relevant working experience in a similar role
