Job Summary

The Area Sales Supervisor drives sales performance across the assigned region by leading a high-performing sales team, expanding market reach, and strengthening customer relationships. The role requires strong leadership, deep market knowledge, and the ability to execute sales strategies that achieve and exceed targets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate the sales team to achieve monthly and quarterly targets
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies across Kumasi, Bono, and Ahafo regions
  • Monitor sales performance and ensure accurate reporting of sales metrics and field activities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key customers
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand market coverage
  • Conduct regular field visits to support sales execution and ensure compliance with company standards
  • Train and coach sales representatives to improve performance and productivity
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions
  • Ensure proper management of customer accounts and collections
  • Prepare and submit detailed sales reports to management

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of sales experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role within FMCG
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Proficiency in sales reporting tools and performance tracking systems
  • Strong knowledge of the local market (Bono, Ahafo, and Kumasi regions) with an established customer network
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
