Overview

A reputable company is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Account assistant/bookkeeper to join their small but dynamic team located in Adansi. The Accounts Assistant will be a part of a remote location field team and report to the company’s Finance Manager in Accra.

Location: Adansi Asokwa District

Role Summary: The successful candidate will have the ability to be flexible and cover various capacities when required; this will involve covering ad hoc duties within the Finance function.

Accommodation and feeding will be provided by the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Purchase ledger Issuing and processing purchase invoices/ Credit notes and reconciling the ledger.
• Sales Ledger ensure all approved sales invoices are raised and processed in SAGE Pastel accurately and in timely manner.
• Daily reconciliation of bank and Petty cash account(s), including posting to Sage
• Daily/weekly payment collections and processing
• Process sales and intercompany invoices.
• Supporting the team with reconciliations and ad hoc tasks that will assist with the preparation of management accounts
• Preparation and input of journals
• Liaising with the operations department on any queries that may arise
• Periodic reporting to head office in Accra
• Provide reports to assist with the audit of data held

Ideal Experience

• Previous accounting/bookkeeping experience at least 2 years
• At least intermediate level of excel
• Experience with SAGE Pastel software is an advantage
• Ideally AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians qualified), Degree in Accounting degree or equivalent
