A reputable, fast-growing rural bank in the Ashanti region, committed to providing innovative financial services that support rural and community development, is seeking highly skilled, proactive, and dynamic individuals to fill the position as Assistant Credit Manager

Reports To: Credit Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Credit Manager in planning, organising, and supervising credit operations across all branches.
• Assess and appraise loan applications, ensuring adherence to the Bank’s credit policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Lead the design and implementation of agricultural finance, SME lending and microfinance products tailored to rural clients.
• Conduct credit risk analysis, prepare credit reports and contribute to management decision-making.
• Assist in developing and implementing credit policies, risk mitigation strategies and capacity-building initiatives for lending staff.
• Liaise with relevant departments to ensure smooth integration of credit operations with other functional areas of the bank.

Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance, Accounting, Economics, Agribusiness, or related discipline.
• A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience, with at least one (1) year in a supervisory credit role within a rural banking environment.
• Proven experience in Agric Financing, Microfinance and SME Financing is essential. Sound understanding of credit analysis, loan structuring, risk management and regulatory frameworks governing rural banking.
