Job Description
A reputable, fast-growing rural bank in the Ashanti region, committed to providing innovative financial services that support rural and community development, is seeking highly skilled, proactive, and dynamic individuals to fill the position as Assistant Information Technology Manager
Reports To: Information Technology Manager
Key Responsibilities
Assist in managing and maintaining the bank’s ICT infrastructure, including servers. networks, databases and user systems
Provide technical support for all hardware, software and peripheral devices to ensure smooth IT operations.
Support implementing and managing cybersecurity controls, data protection measures and information security policies.
Monitor and maintain network performance, ensure branch connectivity and manage firewall and VPN configurations.
Support the administration and smooth running of the T24 Core Banking Application and related third-party integrations.
Conduct regular system backups, disaster recovery tests, and preventive maintenance routines.
Assist in IT audit processes, ensure compliance with Bank of Ghana IT and cybersecurity directives.
Train staff on IT usage, cybersecurity awareness, and best practices.
Provide technical support during new system rollouts, upgrades, and digital banking projects.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant IT experience, preferably in a rural banking environment.
- Familiarity with Bank of Ghana’s Cyber and IT Guidelines and financial technology systems.
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, CCNA, CEH, or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) will be an added advantage.
