Key Responsibilities
The Assistant Legal Officer will:
Conduct legal research and provide legal opinions to support organizational decision-making.
Draft, review, and manage contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
Support compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Assist with litigation, dispute resolution, and regulatory engagements.
Maintain accurate legal records and documentation.
Liaise with external counsel, regulators, and relevant stakeholders as required.
Promote ethical conduct and legal risk awareness across the organization.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must:
Hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited tertiary institution in Law or a related field.
Be called to the Ghana Bar with a minimum of three (3) years post-call experience.
Reside in Accra or its environs.
Demonstrate strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
Communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
Uphold high standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Previous experience in corporate, regulatory, or commercial legal practice will be an added advantage.
