Position Overview
The Assistant Sales and Marketing Manager will support the company’s sales and marketing strategy by driving business development, managing client relationships, and implementing marketing initiatives. The role requires a strategic thinker with entrepreneurial drive, capable of packaging and selling projects, developing partnerships, and strengthening the company’s brand locally and internationally.
The successful candidate will work closely with the management team to execute growth strategies, enhance market presence, and ensure commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to drive business growth.
Identify, package, and sell projects/business initiatives, securing deals that align with company objectives.
Analyze market segmentation, customer profiles, and value propositions to enhance sales strategies.
Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, partners, and regulatory agencies.
Ensure compliance with Ghana’s trade policies, GIPC regulations, and other relevant business frameworks.
Lead branding, marketing, and communication initiatives to strengthen the company’s market presence.
Develop fresh approaches, innovative solutions, and new business opportunities.
Oversee project management and administrative activities for marketing and business development initiatives.
Prepare presentations, reports, and business proposals for internal and external stakeholders.
Mentor and coach team members, fostering a results-driven and collaborative environment.
Make informed business decisions based on data, analysis, and market trends.
Educational Requirement
Master’s degree or professional qualification in Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
Membership in a recognized professional body is required.
At least 5 years of relevant working experience, including 2 years at a managerial level.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strategic thinking and thorough understanding of business development principles.
Ability to articulate, package, and sell business initiatives.
Deep knowledge of Ghanaian and relevant international business environments.
Entrepreneurial mindset and passion for shaping marketing and communication strategies.
Knowledge of market segmentation, customer profiling, and value propositions.
Understanding of Ghana’s trade policy, GIPC regulations, and other regulatory frameworks.
Innovative, results-oriented, and capable of developing new business approaches.
Project management, administration, and marketing expertise.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a target-driven environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and business development tools.
Strong decision-making, managerial, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
