Position Summary

The Associate Professor of Medical Laboratory will provide academic leadership in teaching, research, curriculum development, and scholarly engagement within the discipline. The successful candidate will contribute to the advancement of Medical Laboratory education, strengthen research output, mentor students and faculty members, and support the University’s strategic academic objectives.

This role requires an accomplished academic or clinician-scientist with a distinguished record of teaching, research, publication, and professional service.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements

Applicants must possess:

• A minimum of a PhD in Medical Laboratory Science or a closely related discipline.

OR

• For clinicians, a minimum Membership Certificate from a recognized professional body in a relevant medical specialty.

Research Requirements

• Must have a minimum of twenty-four (24) publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
• Demonstrated record of sustained scholarly contributions and academic excellence.
• Proven experience supervising postgraduate research and mentoring academic staff and students.
