We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Boilermaker / Fabricator to join our team in Obuasi and support fabrication, installation, repair, and maintenance of structural and mechanical components.

Role Purpose

The Boilermaker / Fabricator will fabricate, assemble, install, and repair metal structures and equipment in line with engineering drawings and safety standards. The role ensures high-quality workmanship, equipment reliability, and safe execution of fabrication and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and install metal structures, components, and piping systems according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Perform welding, cutting, grinding, and shaping of metal parts using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain boilers, tanks, pressure vessels, and structural components.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and fabrication plans accurately.
• Conduct routine maintenance and repair of mechanical and structural installations.
• Ensure all fabrication and welding activities comply with safety standards and quality requirements.
• Identify defects in structures and equipment and implement corrective repairs.
• Support installation and commissioning of mechanical and structural systems.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and workshop areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Work collaboratively with engineers, supervisors, and maintenance teams to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations at all times.
• Complete job cards, maintenance logs, and inspection reports accurately and on time.

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualifications

• Technical Certificate, Trade Test Certificate, NVTI, or equivalent qualification in Boilermaking, Fabrication, Welding, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Additional welding or fabrication certifications will be an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum of 3–6 years of relevant experience in fabrication, boilermaking, or welding within mining, industrial, construction, or engineering environments.
• Experience working with structural steel, piping systems, and heavy industrial equipment is preferred.
• Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans.
