Role Purpose

The Business Development Officer / Manager drives business growth by identifying new market opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and expanding the organization’s customer base. The role actively contributes to revenue generation through strategic planning, market analysis, and effective execution of business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development and Growth

  • Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities to support organizational growth objectives.

  • Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with company goals.

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.

  • Lead negotiations, prepare proposals, and close business deals.

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective engagement and follow-up.

Sales and Revenue Generation

  • Drive revenue growth by meeting and exceeding assigned sales and business development targets.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs.

  • Monitor sales performance and prepare regular progress reports for management.

Planning, Reporting, and Coordination

  • Prepare business development plans, forecasts, and reports.

  • Track performance indicators and provide data-driven insights for decision-making.

  • Support management with strategic recommendations to enhance market positioning.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education

  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience

  • 2–4 years of professional experience in business development, sales, or a similar role.

  • Demonstrated success in identifying opportunities and closing deals.

  • Experience working in a structured corporate environment is an advantage.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data.

  • Results-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
