POSITION: Camera Operator

ORGANISATION: Parliamentary Service of Ghana
LOCATION: Accra, Ghana
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time

The Parliamentary Service of Ghana invites applications from qualified and motivated professionals to fill the position of Camera Operator.


ROLE OVERVIEW

The Camera Operator will support the visual documentation and broadcast of parliamentary proceedings and official events by delivering clear, accurate, and professionally composed visual content.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Camera Operator will:

  • Operate professional video and still cameras during parliamentary sittings, committee meetings, and official events

  • Capture high-quality footage that meets broadcast and archival standards

  • Ensure proper framing, focus, lighting, and composition at all times

  • Maintain and handle camera equipment responsibly

  • Work closely with directors, editors, and technical teams to achieve production objectives

  • Adhere to established broadcast protocols, safety procedures, and confidentiality standards

  • Support setup, testing, and breakdown of audio-visual equipment


QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must:

  • Hold a Diploma in Film, Television Production, Media Technology, or a related field

  • Demonstrate knowledge of professional video and still cameras

  • Possess a keen eye for composition, framing, and detail

  • Be able to work under pressure and meet production schedules

  • Have prior experience in broadcast or institutional media production, which will be an advantage
