Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Class Teacher (English and History) to join our academic team. You will deliver engaging and structured lessons, promote academic excellence, and foster a positive and disciplined classroom environment.
You will support students’ intellectual, moral, and social development while contributing to the broader life of the school community.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in English and History in line with the school curriculum.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments.
Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing timely feedback.
Maintain accurate academic records and reports.
Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
Uphold and model Christian values and school policies.
Participate actively in staff meetings, school events, and professional development activities.
Engage positively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and welfare.
Educational & Professional Requirements
You must:
Hold a B.Ed. in English or a closely related qualification (required).
Have a minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience in a similar setting, preferably in a Private Christian Primary or JHS school.
Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management skills.
Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Show commitment to Christian education and student character development.
