Job Description
Madamfo Ghana Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and self-driven Construction Manager to lead major community-based building projects in remote areas of Ghana.
Location: Remote project site, Ghana
Contract: 6-12 months (renewable, project-based)
Benefits: Transport and approved project-related expenses covered by Madamfo Ghana Foundation
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Oversee all phases of construction, ensuring adherence to plans, timelines, and standards.
- Quality & Certification: Assess and certify construction stages for compliance and safety.
- Reporting: Prepare progress reports, documentation, and material records for management and donors.
- Team Supervision: Coordinate on-site personnel, ensuring efficient workflows and safety compliance.
- Budget & Procurement: Manage costs, prepare estimates, and secure fair pricing for materials and services.
- Community Relations: Work closely with local leaders and residents to support Inclusive project implementation.
- Payroll & Safety: Oversee labour payments and maintain strong health and safety protocols.
Qualification & Competence
- Diploma/Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience managing medium to large-scale projects with stage certification.
- Strong skills in MS Word and Excel; AutoCAD knowledge advantageous.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- Proven leadership in managing diverse tearns.
- Adaptability to remote, resource-limited environments.
- High integrity, accountability, and resilience under pressure.
