Role Summary

The Director of Finance provides strategic leadership and oversight of MSIG’s financial operations. The role ensures strong financial governance, compliance, and sustainability while supporting organizational growth and programmatic impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and financial reporting

• Provide strategic financial guidance to the senior management team and Board

• Ensure compliance with donor requirements, statutory regulations, and organizational policies

• Oversee financial planning, risk management, and internal control systems

• Manage audits and liaise with external auditors, regulators, and stakeholders

• Strengthen financial systems and processes to support operational efficiency

• Build and mentor a high-performing finance team

• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for management and donors

• Support organizational sustainability through effective resource planning and cost management

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred

• Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in finance, with senior-level leadership exposure

• Strong knowledge of financial management, donor compliance, and regulatory requirements

• Proven ability to lead teams and work collaboratively at senior management level

• High level of integrity, analytical capability, and strategic thinking
