Role Overview

As a Dispatch / Transport Officer, you will coordinate daily delivery operations, manage drivers and riders, and ensure timely and efficient order fulfillment. You will play a critical role in maintaining service quality, optimizing routes, and improving overall operational performance.


Key Responsibilities

Dispatch & Delivery Coordination

  • Assign and monitor delivery tasks using dispatch systems.

  • Track deliveries in real time to ensure timely completion.

  • Communicate effectively with drivers/riders to support smooth operations.

Route Optimization

  • Plan and optimize delivery routes for speed, cost-efficiency, and reliability.

  • Adjust routes dynamically based on traffic, demand, and operational changes.

Fleet Management

  • Monitor fleet availability and ensure optimal utilization.

  • Oversee vehicle condition and coordinate routine maintenance schedules.

  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

Team Coordination & Support

  • Supervise and support drivers/riders in their daily activities.

  • Assist with on-boarding and training of new team members.

  • Foster a collaborative and performance-driven team environment.

Issue Resolution

  • Resolve delivery-related issues involving vendors, customers, and drivers promptly.

  • Escalate complex challenges where necessary to ensure service continuity.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track key operational metrics and delivery performance.

  • Prepare and present regular reports on dispatch and fleet operations.

  • Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 1–3 years of experience in dispatch operations, fleet management, or logistics coordination.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

  • Familiarity with GPS tracking systems and dispatch software.

  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and fleet operations.
