We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Driver to provide professional transportation services while ensuring the proper care, maintenance, and safe operation of company vehicles.

Position Summary

As the Driver, you will transport employees, visitors, and authorised personnel safely and efficiently while maintaining company vehicles in excellent operating condition. You will ensure compliance with road safety regulations, support administrative transport needs, and represent the company professionally at all times.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Drive company vehicles safely and responsibly while complying with all traffic laws and company safety policies.
  • Maintain company vehicles in clean, polished, and roadworthy condition at all times.
  • Plan the most efficient travel routes by considering traffic, weather conditions, and road closures.
  • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any faults or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Refuel company vehicles as required and ensure they are always ready for official use.
  • Coordinate with the Administrative Officer to schedule routine servicing, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
  • Report mechanical faults, accidents, or vehicle irregularities promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain accurate records of fuel consumption, mileage, servicing, and vehicle usage.
  • Drive defensively to ensure the safety of passengers, pedestrians, and other road users.
  • Provide transportation services during regular and irregular working hours, including overnight travel when required.
  • Assist passengers, including individuals with mobility needs, when entering and exiting the vehicle.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies by notifying the relevant emergency service providers and company representatives.
  • Monitor traffic and weather updates and adjust travel routes to minimise delays.
  • Ensure vehicle interiors remain clean, comfortable, and presentable for passengers.
  • Represent the company professionally and courteously in all interactions with employees, customers, suppliers, visitors, regulatory authorities, and the public.
  • Perform other duties assigned in support of business operations.

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate will have:

  • A valid Ghanaian driver’s licence with an excellent driving record.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years’ professional driving experience.
  • Experience driving for a corporate organisation, company, or non-governmental organisation will be an advantage.
  • The ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
  • Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic mechanical checks.
  • Strong familiarity with local and regional road networks, road signs, and GPS navigation systems.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Applicants must be 40 years of age or below.
