We are seeking an experienced and proactive Electrical Supervisor to join our team in Obuasi and lead electrical maintenance and installation activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.

Role Purpose

The Electrical Supervisor will oversee electrical maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting activities across site operations. The role ensures electrical systems operate safely and efficiently while supervising technicians, enforcing standards, and driving continuous improvement in electrical reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all electrical maintenance and installation activities on site.
• Lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
• Assign daily tasks to electrical technicians and ensure timely execution of maintenance schedules.
• Inspect electrical systems, identify faults, and ensure effective resolution of technical issues.
• Ensure proper installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.
• Oversee maintenance of generators, motors, switchgear, control panels, and power distribution systems.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Review maintenance reports, job cards, and technical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Support shutdown planning and execution to minimize operational downtime.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to electrical technicians.
• Collaborate with mechanical, operations, and engineering teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
• Monitor spare parts usage and support maintenance planning and inventory control.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance electrical system reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualifications

• Diploma, HND, or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Professional electrical certification or licensing will be an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum of 5–8 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance within mining, industrial, or heavy engineering environments.
• At least 2–3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong experience with industrial electrical systems, control systems, and power distribution networks.
