EMPLOYEE RELATIONS MANAGER (FULL-TIME)

Location: Takoradi, Ghana (Remote/Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced and people-focused Employee Relations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will lead employee relations strategies, strengthen workplace harmony, and ensure compliance with labor regulations while supporting a productive and positive organizational culture.


Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Develop and implement employee relations strategies that promote a positive and productive work environment.
  • Manage and resolve employee grievances, disputes, and disciplinary matters in a fair and timely manner.
  • Lead union engagement and negotiations to maintain strong and constructive labor relations.
  • Ensure compliance with Ghanaian labor laws, HR policies, and organizational standards.
  • Advise management on employee relations issues, workplace conflicts, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor workforce dynamics and recommend initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention.
  • Conduct investigations into workplace concerns and recommend appropriate resolutions.
  • Prepare HR reports and analyze trends to support strategic decision-making.
  • Foster strong communication between management, employees, and union representatives.
  • Promote a culture of fairness, accountability, and mutual respect across the organization.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

  • A Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, Psychology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in an HR managerial role, preferably within manufacturing or industrial sectors.
  • Proven experience in employee relations, union negotiations, and labor dispute resolution.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing workforce dynamics and employee retention strategies.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex HR challenges and maintain workplace harmony.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR compliance frameworks.
  • Experience in mediating and resolving industrial disputes and grievances.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills to assess HR trends and workforce data.
  • High level of integrity, fairness, and professionalism in decision-making.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and build trust across all levels of the organization.
