Job Title: Engineering Supervisor

Position Summary

Accra Marriott Hotel is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Engineering Supervisor to help create a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for guests and associates. The successful candidate will supervise daily engineering operations, support preventive maintenance programs, and ensure all hotel facilities meet Marriott brand standards and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily engineering and maintenance operations across the hotel.

• Ensure all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life-safety systems operate efficiently and safely.

• Lead, train, and motivate engineering associates to deliver high-quality service and timely repairs.

• Monitor preventive maintenance schedules and ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.

• Respond promptly to guest and operational maintenance requests, ensuring minimal disruption.

• Conduct routine inspections of hotel facilities and equipment, identifying and resolving potential issues.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards, local regulations, and Marriott International policies.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports.

• Collaborate with hotel leadership and other departments to support smooth hotel operations.

• Support energy-saving initiatives and sustainability efforts within the property.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.

Experience

• At least 2 years of related work experience in engineering or maintenance operations.

• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.

License or Certification

• None required.

• Strong leadership and team-supervision skills.

• Solid technical knowledge of building systems and hotel engineering operations.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when required.
