Job Summary
CETECH Ghana seeks an experienced HVAC/R Technician to support system installation, maintenance, and hands-on technical training. The successful candidate will actively perform HVAC/R operations while mentoring learners through practical instruction in a structured and supportive environment. This role suits a skilled professional who values safety, precision, and knowledge sharing.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC/R systems for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
Diagnose system faults and implement effective corrective actions.
Perform preventive maintenance to ensure system efficiency and reliability.
Interpret HVAC/R drawings, schematics, and technical documentation accurately.
Apply industry standards, safety procedures, and best practices at all times.
Train, mentor, and supervise students or junior technicians using practical, hands-on methods.
Demonstrate correct use of HVAC/R tools, equipment, and refrigerants.
Maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive workshop and worksite environment.
Inspect completed installations and repairs to ensure quality and compliance.
Maintain clear records of maintenance activities, repairs, and training sessions.
Collaborate with instructors and management to improve training delivery and operational efficiency.
Educational Requirements
TVET Higher National Diploma (HND) or
Bachelor’s Degree in HVAC/R, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
Experience Requirements
Minimum of 5–8 years of hands-on HVAC/R experience across residential, commercial, or industrial systems.
At least 1–2 years of teaching, training, or mentorship experience in a formal or informal setting.
Required Skills and Competencies
Strong expertise in HVAC/R system installation, maintenance, and fault diagnosis.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Commitment to safety standards, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement.
