Role Summary
The appointed External Auditors will provide independent and objective audit services in accordance with applicable financial reporting standards, auditing regulations, and banking sector requirements. The successful firm will support the Bank in strengthening financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational accountability.
Scope of Engagement
The External Auditors will be responsible for:
- Conducting independent audits of the Bank’s financial statements and operational activities.
- Assessing the effectiveness of internal controls, governance systems, and risk management processes.
- Ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), International Standards on Auditing (ISA), and applicable banking regulations.
- Identifying audit findings, operational risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Preparing comprehensive audit reports and recommendations for management and stakeholders.
- Supporting the Bank in maintaining strong financial governance and regulatory compliance standards.
Qualification Required & Experience
Interested firms must:
- Be duly licensed in accordance with the Chartered Accountants Act, 1963 (Act 170).
- Be members in good standing with the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana) (ICAG).
- Be duly recognized and approved by the Bank of Ghana (BoG) to provide external audit services to financial institutions.
- Possess demonstrable experience in auditing community banks or other regulated financial institutions.
- Exhibit proven expertise in external auditing and the application of IFRS and ISA standards.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of auditing principles, accounting standards, and the statutes and regulations governing the financial services sector.

- Excellent understanding of regulatory compliance within the banking sector.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to deliver quality audit services within agreed timelines.
