Position Summary

The Finance Associate supports day-to-day financial and accounting operations for the GHSC-PSM project in Ghana. The role ensures accurate financial documentation, supports compliance with Chemonics and donor requirements, and contributes to efficient financial operations across project activities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily finance and accounting operations in accordance with Chemonics policies and donor regulations.

  • Assist with processing payments, invoices, advances, and reimbursements in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Maintain organized and complete financial records and supporting documentation.

  • Support budget tracking, financial reporting, and data entry into accounting systems.

  • Assist with bank reconciliations and verification of financial transactions.

  • Coordinate with operations and technical teams to ensure financial procedures support project implementation.

  • Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.

  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold financial integrity at all times.

  • Perform other finance-related duties as assigned to support project objectives.


Required Qualifications and Skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized university is required.

  • Candidate should have completed National Service within the last two (2) years.

Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Basic working knowledge of accounting software .

  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

  • Willing to learn and develop practical finance and project management skills.

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
