Position Summary
The Finance Manager leads the firm’s financial management and reporting functions, with a strong focus on private equity, venture fund, and fund-of-funds operations. The role ensures financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and high-quality financial analysis to support investment decision-making and strategic planning.
The Finance Manager works closely with senior leadership, investment teams, fund administrators, and external stakeholders to strengthen financial governance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
The Finance Manager will:
Lead financial management, accounting, and reporting functions for advisory and fund-related activities.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support strategic and operational objectives.
Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and investor reports in line with applicable standards.
Support investment analysis, including fund performance monitoring, capital calls, distributions, and portfolio valuations.
Apply and review non-listed investment valuation methodologies in line with industry best practices.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, fund documentation, and internal control policies specific to private equity, venture capital, and fund-of-funds structures.
Coordinate with fund administrators, auditors, and regulators to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Maintain and enhance financial systems, accounting software, and fund management platforms.
Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies to management.
Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners to support deal execution and fund operations.
Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education and Professional Background
Minimum of seven (7) years of proven experience in finance and investment management, specifically within:
Private Equity
Venture Capital / Venture Funds
Fund Management or Fund-of-Funds environments
Technical Skills and Knowledge
Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and investment principles.
In-depth understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements relevant to private equity and venture fund operations.
Strong knowledge of non-listed investment valuation methodologies and principles.
Proficiency in financial software and systems, including accounting software and fund management platforms.
Core Competencies
Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
