Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, and manage financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow statements.
- Monitor company expenditures and implement effective cost-control measures to improve financial efficiency.
- Manage payroll administration, tax filings, statutory deductions, and all regulatory financial obligations.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights and recommendations to management for business growth and operational improvement.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal financial policies.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable records.
- Assist in financial planning, budgeting, and investment decisions.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial information at all times.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Master’s degree (MSc) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in finance, accounting, or financial management.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, ICA, CIMA, or CPA will be a strong advantage.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting and financial management software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail with strong accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
Preferred Competencies
- Strategic financial planning and forecasting skills.
- Strong understanding of internal controls and risk management.
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and present actionable insights.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Experience working in the maritime, logistics, or operations industry will be an added advantage.
