Job Description
Job Title: Finance Officer
Institution: KAS Christian International School
Location: Nsawam, Eastern Region

Job Purpose
KAS Christian International School seeks a responsible and detail-oriented Finance Officer to manage and support the school’s financial operations. The role is critical to ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective fee management, and compliance with internal controls, while fostering a welcoming and professional environment for parents, staff, and external partners in line with the school’s Christian values.
Key Responsibilities
Provide courteous and professional financial support to parents, staff, and service providers.
Manage student fee billing, collections, receipting, and reconciliation.
Maintain accurate accounting records for school income, expenditure, and assets.
Prepare monthly financial reports, cash flow statements, and management accounts for school leadership.
Support annual budgeting and monitor expenditure against approved budgets.
Process payroll and ensure timely payment of statutory deductions (SSNIT, PAYE, etc.).
Ensure adherence to internal financial controls, school policies, and audit requirements.
Liaise with banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies as required.
Maintain proper filing and documentation for all financial transactions.
Perform other finance-related duties assigned by school management.
Reporting Line
Reports directly to School Management / Head of Administration (or designated authority).
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
ICA Level 1–2 qualification is required.
Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience, preferably in a school or educational institution.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
Additional Requirements
Possession of a valid Driver’s License (Class B or above).
Willingness and readiness to relocate to Nsawam, Eastern Region.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially when dealing with parents and staff.
Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
