Job Description

Fleet Operations Manager

Location: Tema, Ghana
Employment Type: Full-Time
Application Deadline: 22 June 2026

About Auntie Nkran Partners Ltd (ANP)

Auntie Nkran Partners Ltd is a growing leader in dry cargo and petroleum haulage operations in Ghana. With a fleet of over 100 articulated trucks and a rapidly expanding 30-unit tanker division, we deliver large-scale logistics solutions that power trade, industry, and distribution across the country.

As we scale, we are strengthening our operational leadership to ensure disciplined fleet performance, cost efficiency, and world-class transport execution. We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Fleet Operations Manager to take full ownership of fleet performance from our Tema Head Office.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an elite logistics and transport leader who operates with an ownership mindset and enforces operational discipline across a large commercial fleet.

As Fleet Operations Manager, you will take command of fleet utilization, fuel management, route efficiency, driver performance, compliance, and cost control. You will drive profitability, eliminate inefficiencies, and ensure the fleet operates at peak performance across all routes and operations.

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who understands that fleet operations are not just logistics—but a direct driver of profit and loss.

Key Responsibilities

Fleet Operations & Performance

  • Lead and oversee daily operations of a 100+ articulated truck and tanker fleet.
  • Optimize fleet deployment to ensure maximum utilization and turnaround efficiency.
  • Monitor trip execution, port operations, loading schedules, and delivery performance.
  • Enforce strict operational discipline across drivers, dispatch, and field teams.
  • Ensure full compliance with transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

Fuel Management & Cost Control

  • Implement and enforce robust fuel control systems across all fleet operations.
  • Monitor fuel consumption trends and investigate variances immediately.
  • Lead anti-pilferage controls and investigate fuel theft or misuse without delay.
  • Drive measurable reductions in operating costs and inefficiencies.

Fleet Systems & Telematics

  • Utilize GPS tracking and fleet telematics systems to monitor real-time vehicle performance.
  • Analyze data to improve routing, reduce idle time, and enhance productivity.
  • Ensure full adoption of fleet management systems across operations teams.
  • Generate performance dashboards and operational reports for executive review.

Financial & P&L Accountability

  • Own fleet operational performance in line with budget and profitability targets.
  • Manage operational expenditure and defend budgets with data-backed justification.
  • Deliver cost-saving initiatives across fuel, maintenance, and logistics operations.
  • Support leadership with accurate forecasting and operational financial insights.

Maintenance & Asset Management

  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all fleet assets.
  • Ensure vehicle availability, roadworthiness, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Coordinate with workshop and technical teams to minimize downtime.
  • Extend asset lifecycle through disciplined maintenance planning.

Team Leadership & Discipline

  • Lead, supervise, and develop dispatch, driver, and fleet coordination teams.
  • Enforce high standards of discipline, accountability, and performance.
  • Conduct performance reviews and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Build a culture of operational excellence and ownership across all fleet personnel.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 10+ years in commercial transport, logistics, or haulage operations.
  • At least 5 years of proven success managing a fleet of 50+ heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Demonstrated experience in petroleum haulage or dry cargo logistics is an advantage.
  • Strong background in operational leadership within high-volume transport environments.

Proven Track Record

  • Full P&L ownership or strong exposure to operational financial management.
  • Documented success in budget control, cost reduction, and operational optimization.
  • Strong experience in fuel management systems and anti-pilferage enforcement.
  • Hands-on experience with GPS tracking and fleet telematics systems.

Required Competencies

  • Strong operational leadership and decision-making ability.
  • High discipline in cost control and financial accountability.
  • Deep understanding of fleet operations and transport logistics.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret operational data.
  • Strong investigative skills in fraud, fuel loss, and inefficiencies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead under pressure in a high-volume operational environment.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
